Simply Noted pricing explained: credits, Unlimited and postage
Simply Noted pricing, explained: credit packs from $2.80 to $0.90 a card plus $0.82 postage, or $497 a month Unlimited. All-in cost at your volume, and the fine print.
Simply Noted sells folded note cards as prepaid credits, from $2.80 a card for a pack of 100 down to $0.90 for 50,000, with $0.82 postage added per card. That is $3.62 to $1.72 a card all-in. Its other option is the Unlimited plan: $497 a month, then $0.99 a note plus postage, and it is the plan that includes the API. Credits expire after 12 months. The figures below are as listed on Simply Noted's site in October 2026; confirm them before you buy.
We run notecardHQ, a competing service, so we have kept to Simply Noted's own published numbers and linked each one. A short note about where we fit is at the end.
Credit packs
Per Simply Noted's pricing page, credits are sold in packs, and the price per credit falls as the pack grows. Jumbo 6x11 postcards cost $0.15 less per credit at every tier. Above 50,000 credits, pricing is custom.
| Pack | Note card, per credit | Note card, all-in with $0.82 postage | Jumbo postcard, per credit |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | $2.80 | $3.62 | $2.65 |
| 500 | $2.39 | $3.21 | $2.24 |
| 1,000 | $1.99 | $2.81 | $1.84 |
| 5,000 | $1.59 | $2.41 | $1.44 |
| 10,000 | $1.25 | $2.07 | $1.10 |
| 25,000 | $1.05 | $1.87 | $0.90 |
| 50,000 | $0.90 | $1.72 | $0.75 |
Is postage included?
The pricing page says package prices "include" postage, but its totals only add up with postage on top: 100 cards at $2.80 is $280, and the listed total is $362, which is $2.80 plus $0.82 a card. Simply Noted's own 2026 cost guide agrees, giving the all-in note card price as $3.62 at 100 credits and $1.72 at 50,000. Its llms.txt file advertises note cards "from $0.89" and postcards "from $0.69" with postage included, which does not match the pricing page. We use the pricing page and the cost guide.
The fine print on credits
- Credits expire after 12 months. A pack you do not finish within a year raises the real price of every card you did send.
- No minimums and no contracts.
- Financing: three-month financing on packs, and 12-month financing for 10,000 credits or more ("as low as $1,897/mo" for 10,000).
- A free sample is offered without a credit card.
The Unlimited plan
Unlimited is $497 a month flat. Each note is then $0.99 plus postage, and each postcard $0.84 plus postage. It includes CRM, API, Zapier, Shopify and webhook integrations, USPS mail tracking, and a trackable QR code on every card (pricing page). If you want to send from your own systems, this is the plan you need: the API is listed as an Unlimited feature, and Simply Noted's llms.txt does not link public API docs or mention a sandbox.
Spread over a month's cards with $0.82 postage, Unlimited works out to $6.78 a card at 100 a month, $2.80 at 500, $2.31 at 1,000, $1.91 at 5,000 and $1.86 at 10,000.
Credits or Unlimited: what a card costs at your volume
All figures are all-in, per note card, with Simply Noted's credits bought at the pack size that matches the month's volume.
| Cards a month | Simply Noted credits | Simply Noted Unlimited | notecardHQ |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | $3.62 | $6.78 | $3.25 |
| 500 | $3.21 | $2.80 | $2.95 |
| 1,000 | $2.81 | $2.31 | $2.95 |
| 5,000 | $2.41 | $1.91 | $2.35 |
| 10,000 | $2.07 | $1.86 | $1.95 |
What the table shows:
- At 100 cards a month, Unlimited does not pay off. Credits are $3.62 and notecardHQ is $3.25.
- From about 500 a month, Unlimited is the cheapest option in the table. That includes us.
- Buying a year at once changes the credit column. Because credits last 12 months, a sender of 100 a month can buy the 1,000 pack and pay $2.81 all-in, as long as all 1,000 go out within the year.
- The 50,000 pack is Simply Noted's lowest published price. Its $0.90 per credit is below Unlimited's $0.99 per note, but it means paying about $86,000 upfront, postage included.
Simply Noted does not publish international pricing, so none of this applies to cards mailed outside the US.
Where Simply Noted is the better pick
- You send 500 or more cards a month in the US and are happy to pay a monthly fee: Unlimited is cheaper per card than our published tiers.
- You can prepay a year of cards. The larger credit packs are some of the lowest prices in the market, and there is financing to spread the cost.
- You want jumbo postcards as well as note cards from the same vendor.
- You want QR tracking and USPS mail tracking bundled in.
Simply Noted says it writes with a "real ballpoint pen" on more than 220 robots and hand-addresses folded cards in stamped envelopes (pricing page; llms.txt), so on method the two services are alike.
Where notecardHQ fits
notecardHQ writes every card with a real pen in New York and reads every word back with OCR before the pen moves. We bill per card mailed, with no credits to expire and no monthly fee: $3.25 a card in the US at up to 499 a month, $2.95 from 500, $2.35 from 2,500 and $1.95 from 10,000, postage included. International cards are $1.00 more at each tier, at a published price. The API, test keys, the MCP server and the portal are on every account, so you can build an integration without a $497 plan. We fit best below about 500 cards a month, when volume is uneven, when you need the API without a plan, or when some of your cards go abroad. We have four handwriting styles and no native CRM apps; integrations run through the API and our recipes.
